Approximately 50,000 emergency responders from state, municipal, tribal, and territorial governments, as well as the federal government, foreign governments, and commercial groups, get advanced, all-hazards training from the Center for Domestic Preparedness each year. SERTC is a cutting-edge training center dedicated to responding to hazardous materials events on surface transportation. CTOS is the nation's leading counterterrorism training center for radiological/nuclear weapons of mass destruction (WMD). Since 1998, the CTOS–Center for Radiological/Nuclear Training at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) of the US Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA) has educated America's first responders.
